Now, the victory has brought him the largest cash in his career, as he entered the tournament with all-time live winnings of a little over $26,600. This year’s Main Event of the Irish Open surpassed the €1-million guarantee after the record number of 1,807 entries accounted for a prize pool estimated to a total of €1,805,870. Zheng Keeps His Chip Lead throughout Entire Final Day
The final table of the Main Event of 2019 Irish Open started with Zheng holding a massive chip lead to Max Silver, who at the time was second in chips. As a matter of fact, Zheng managed to keep his chip lead over the entire day so that he emerged victorious at the end of the tournament.
Max Silver, on the other hand, started the final day of the event with the second biggest chip stack but he was unable to keep his pace and eventually got to the seventh position in the ranking.
In the end, the heads-up play was between Zheng and Dave Masters, a player, whose aggressive style of play was distinctive throughout the entire Main Event. Eventually, he was unable to break the pace of Zheng and remained on the second position, leaving the trophy in his competitor’s hands, as well as the largest prize pool cash portion.
